SR. STAFF – TAX – Public Accounting

You’re an experienced professional tax accountant with depth in small-mid business and high wealth individuals. You love the work and helping your clients address complex tax scenarios.

Our client is a well established public accounting firm focused on small business, high wealth individuals, and not for profits. They are known for being family friendly, providing flexibility that enables the staff to balance work and personal life.

The Sr. Staff – Tax role encompasses typical tax work: working directly with small business execs and their firms, consulting on tax strategies, overseeing returns, make sure tax payments are made accurately and on time, etc. Work with the Managing Partner to lead and mentor junior and mid level staff in preparing and managing returns. Key is working with clients to help them run their organizations smoothly with a minimum of hassle from a tax reporting and compliance perspective.

WHAT IT TAKES:

A passion for Tax Accounting and deep experience focused on it. A degree in Accounting. Active CPA preferred, but will consider the right experience or working towards a CPA. Experience with Tax Accounting and returns for individuals, small business, family business, S-Corps, partnerships, etc. You’ll be in a client facing role a lot of the time, so strong interpersonal and relationship skills are key to success. The ability to dig into records and figure out ways to help the client. Adept at common software like UltraTax, Quickbooks, and Excel.
