Our Client is a leading supplier of unmanned and autonomous systems for the U.S. Military and Department of Defense, who has an exciting opportunity for Production Supervisor to oversee daily operations within a low-volume manufacturing facility, leading a team of ~15 production staff to ensure products are produced safely, efficiently, and in line with quality and regulatory standards.
This role is responsible for driving production schedules, optimizing workflows, and maintaining a strong hands-on presence on the shop floor to resolve issues in real time. The Production Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring operational readiness, continuous improvement, and alignment with strict safety, quality, and performance requirements.

Responsibilities
- • Supervise, train, and develop a team of ~15 production staff, maintaining a strong safety culture and positive work environment.
- • Plan and execute production schedules, adjusting workflows to meet deadlines and capacity targets.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards (OSHA, PPE, GMP) in coordination with the FSO.
- • Monitor production quality, partnering with QC to address defects and maintain standards.
- • Identify process improvements and support Lean/5S initiatives to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.
- • Coordinate equipment readiness and troubleshooting issues with Facilities/Engineering teams.
- • Maintain production records, reports, and key metrics (attendance, scrap, downtime, output).
- • Manage personnel matters including attendance, coaching, discipline, and conflict resolution.
- • Maintain a hands-on presence on the production floor, supporting cross-training and operational continuity.
Qualifications
- • 5 – 10 years of manufacturing experience, with 1 – 3 years in a supervisory role (managing similar team sizes preferred).
- • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and ERP systems (e.g., QAD, Plex, Epicor, SAP).
- • Technical understanding of production equipment, machinery, and general craftsmanship.
- • Ability to read and understand (BOM) Bill of Materials and CAD designs desirable.
- • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement principles.
- • Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- • Ability to pass background checks and be eligible for US Govt Security Clearance.
Location: South Tucson, AZ
Salary: $70,000 – $110,000 – Negotiable on Experience
Shift Schedule: First Shift (8.00 am – 5.00 pm Monday – Friday)
