About the Opportunity
We are partnering with a charter school in Muskegon, Michigan seeking a Part-Time Physical Therapist (PT) to support students with physical and mobility needs. This is a flexible opportunity ideal for a therapist looking for a small weekly caseload while making a meaningful impact in a school setting.
Position Overview
The Physical Therapist will work with students to evaluate and address physical and motor development challenges that impact their ability to participate in the educational environment. The PT will collaborate with special education staff, teachers, and families to support student mobility, accessibility, and independence within the school setting.
Key Responsibilities
Provide physical therapy services to students in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Conduct evaluations and develop treatment plans to address mobility, strength, coordination, and functional movement
Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers
Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school and state requirements
Provide recommendations for adaptive equipment and classroom accommodations when appropriate
Participate in IEP meetings as needed
Qualifications
Must hold an active Physical Therapist (PT) license in the State of Michigan
New graduates are welcome to apply
Pediatric or school-based experience preferred
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work independently with a small caseload
