As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial equipment and facility systems to support production and minimize downtime.
Duties:
Including but not limited to:
- Perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on industrial manufacturing equipment and facility systems (HVAC, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and compressed air systems).
- Troubleshoot and repair production equipment, including CNC machines, PLCs, VFDs, and automated production lines.
- Inspect, test, and diagnose equipment issues using observation, diagnostic tools, and feedback from operators and supervisors.
- Dismantle and reassemble machinery using schematics and technical documentation to access and repair faulty components.
- Repair and install electrical apparatus and components, including transformers, wiring, and electronic control systems.
- Maintain and repair facility infrastructure, including power distribution, plumbing, lighting, and building systems.
- Perform calibration, alignment, and restoration of equipment to meet manufacturer specifications and ensure accuracy and repeatability.
- Operate and maintain a variety of tools and equipment, including hand tools, power tools, multimeters, voltmeters, amp meters, oscilloscopes, pressure gauges, and precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, indicators, etc.).
- Operate machine shop equipment such as lathes, grinders, drill presses, and milling machines to fabricate or repair parts, jigs, fixtures, and tools.
- Use cutting and welding equipment (plasma cutters, torches, SMAW, TIG, MIG) and follow all hot work permit procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, parts usage, and time tracking using a CMMS system.
- Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and maintenance requests to minimize downtime.
- Maintain building and grounds, including minor structural repairs, fences, walkways, and snow and ice removal.
- Coordinate and inspect work performed by third-party contractors to ensure safety, quality, and timeliness.
- Travel between locations as needed for projects, training, and maintenance support.
- Support and maintain 5S standards within maintenance areas.
- Participate in safety initiatives, including adherence to LOTO, OSHA, NFPA, EPA, and other regulatory standards.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to arc flash safety practices.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Serve as a trainer for safety procedures and equipment operation following repairs.
- Work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, holidays, and on-call situations as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong mechanical and electrical background, including HVAC, hydraulics, pneumatics, and control systems.
- Ability to work with low voltage control systems and single and three-phase AC/DC systems (110–480V).
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing CNC machines, PLCs, VFDs, and automated systems.
- Understanding of system integration across mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
- Knowledge of robotics and automated systems is a plus (including basic programming and diagnostics).
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools, fabrication equipment, and precision measurement instruments.
- Familiarity with safety standards and regulations including LOTO, OSHA, NFPA, and EPA.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, adaptable, and safety-focused.
- Basic computer skills and experience using CMMS systems for tracking and reporting maintenance activities.
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associate degree in industrial maintenance or a related field is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent education and training.
Certifications & Licenses:
- Ability to obtain internal certification for material handling equipment such as cranes, forklifts, scissor lifts, man lifts, and boom lifts.
- Ability to obtain EPA 608 certification for handling refrigerants in HVAC systems.
Work Environment & Additional Requirements:
- Manufacturing environment with exposure to industrial equipment and non-climate-controlled conditions.
- Requires use of appropriate PPE and adherence to all safety protocols.
- Involvement in maintaining facility grounds, including snow and ice removal.
- Occasional travel between locations for maintenance support and training.

- Senior Maintenance Technicians demonstrate advanced technical expertise, provide mentorship, and support complex troubleshooting and system programming.
- This role may include inspecting work completed by other technicians to ensure compliance with OEM standards and regulatory requirements.
