Position Overview
This assembly role builds high-quality electro-mechanical cable reel systems by combining structural and electrical components according to specifications while ensuring accuracy, functionality, and continuous improvement in a team-oriented manufacturing setting.
Core Responsibilities
· Performing mechanical assembly of structural frames and electrical installations per wiring diagrams and work orders.
· Operating cut-off saws, drill presses, and hand tools while connecting color-coded wires and testing/adjusting electrical assemblies.
· Verifying completed products against engineering and sales documentation and communicating any discrepancies promptly.
· Serving as a technical consultant to engineering and sales on design issues while supporting field service opportunities.
· Conducting thorough quality checks to guarantee customer specifications are met and documenting changes for future consistency.
· Actively supporting 5S initiatives, quality policies, and team problem-solving to enhance overall product excellence.
Position Requirements
High-school diploma or GED; 2-5 years electrical or mechanical assembly experience preferred. Soldering experience and blueprint reading ability a plus. Proficiency with measurement devices and hand/power tools required. Forklift and overhead crane certification (training provided).
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Regular standing, heavy lifting, and exposure to moving mechanical parts in a moderate-noise shop setting. Reasonable accommodations available.
