About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced EHS Manager to lead and drive all environmental, health, and safety initiatives within a fast-paced automotive manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance, building a strong safety culture, and implementing programs that reduce risk, improve employee well-being, and support operational excellence.

This is a high-impact leadership position for someone who thrives in a hands-on manufacturing environment and knows how to influence both the floor and the leadership team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs and initiatives across the facility
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.)
  • Drive a proactive safety culture focused on prevention, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations; implement corrective actions
  • Develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees and leadership teams
  • Oversee workers’ compensation, injury management, and return-to-work programs
  • Maintain and improve environmental compliance programs, including waste management and reporting
  • Partner with operations and engineering teams to ensure safe processes, equipment, and facility changes
  • Track, analyze, and report key EHS metrics and KPIs to leadership
  • Lead and mentor EHS team members and safety committees

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of EHS leadership experience in a manufacturing environment (automotive preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental compliance, and safety systems
  • Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced production environment
  • Proven track record of driving safety improvements and reducing incidents
  • Experience with audits, inspections, and regulatory reporting
  • Strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
