Campus Dean, BSN Program
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Campus Dean for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Program to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for our nursing program.
The Campus Dean will be responsible for the overall planning, development, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement of the BSN program. This role ensures academic excellence, regulatory compliance, student success, and strong clinical partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide full-site leadership and supervision for all aspects of the BSN program, including strategic planning, curriculum development, and program evaluation.
- Manage the program budget, faculty and staff resources, supplies, and equipment to effectively meet program objectives.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) regulations, accreditation standards, and prepare all required reports, self-studies, proposals, surveys, and documentation for state and board requirements.
- Oversee curriculum development, implementation, and continuous improvement to maintain high educational standards.
- Serve as the primary liaison with clinical agencies, develop and maintain educational partnerships and clinical contracts, and conduct thorough clinical site evaluations to ensure student safety, adequate staffing, and alignment with course objectives.
- Coordinate clinical rotations, including student and faculty assignments, scheduling, and submission of required BRN clinical approval forms.
- Monitor and evaluate clinical experiences through student, faculty, and clinical site evaluations; prepare summary reports and present findings to leadership and the Advisory Committee.
- Lead faculty recruitment, hiring, orientation, development, and evaluation. Facilitate regular nursing faculty meetings and maintain accurate minutes.
- Oversee the student admission, orientation, advising, and progression processes, including degree planning and academic support.
- Manage student appeals, grievances, and conflict resolution in accordance with college policy.
- Ensure accurate and complete maintenance of all student and faculty records, including qualifications, academic status, and licensure requirements.
- Develop and maintain program policies, procedures, faculty and student handbooks, and articulation agreements with other institutions.
- Actively build and maintain strong relationships with the community, healthcare partners, and professional organizations. Market the program and advocate for nursing education.
- Collaborate with other college departments (e.g., counseling, registration, financial aid) to support nursing students.
- Plan, organize, and lead Nursing Advisory Committee meetings.
- Monitor key program outcomes, including student performance, NCLEX pass rates, and job placement rates, and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
- Participate in college-wide strategic planning, program review, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of students and the nursing program.
