RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage transportation defense cases from inception through resolution
Take and defend depositions
Prepare, file, and argue dispositive motions
Handle arbitrations, mediations, and other alternative dispute resolution proceedings
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other litigation documents
Conduct legal research and prepare strategic memoranda
Prepare comprehensive status reports and case updates for insurance clients
Attend hearings, depositions, and trials as needed
Collaborate with clients, experts, partners, and fellow attorneys to develop effective litigation strategies
Maintain compliance with court deadlines, scheduling requirements, and procedural rules
Provide regular communication and updates to clients regarding case developments
QUALIFICATIONS
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school
Admission to the New York State Bar in good standing
3–5 years of civil litigation experience
Experience handling Transportation Defense, Construction Litigation, and Tort Liability matters preferred
Ability to draft and argue dispositive motions
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
Experience responding to discovery requests and managing litigation matters independently
Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced litigation environment
